Empower your child to understand their unique brain & nervous system so they can better manage their big emotional without exploding or shutting down.
Why their brain does weird stuff sometimes, and how to work with it, not against it
What to do when they’re about to explode
How to handle sensory overload without exploding like a volcano
What to do when someone just doesn’t get how your brain works
Real-life tools for real-life situations
Basically: your child will discover how to know who they are, trust who they are, and feel more in control
Your child is amazing just as they are.
This class is here to help them feel even more confident, calm, and capable - especially when big emotions show up.
In other words, this class helps kids build up the skills that move them forward and let go of the things that hold them back:

Oh - and we’ll help them have fun and enjoy the journey, too. 😉 😎

Week 1: Understanding Your Brain
Kids will learn about the "upstairs brain" and "downstairs brain," and what to do when they’re too upset to think clearly. This class alone can be a game-changer.

Week 2: Sensory Processing + Your Emotions
We’ll explore how our 8 senses impact emotions and behavior. Kids will discover how their unique sensory preferences and differences affect their mood, focus, and body - and what to do to find the “just right” zone to help them regulate in healthy ways.

Week 3: Understanding Neurodivergence
We’ll talk openly (and in kid-friendly terms) about what it means to be neurodivergent. Kids will learn to name their strengths, understand their challenges, and know that different does not mean “broken”…and, in fact, can mean “wonderful.”

Week 4: The Body Budget
Kids will discover how their brain and body impact their “body budget” — and how that budget affects their mood, energy, and regulation. They’ll discover what helps them feel more steady and calm, then create a simple personal plan to keep their own body budget filled.

Week 5: Nervous System Resilience
Children will choose, build, and practice their own personalized Nervous System Reset toolbox. This is all about empowering kids to go from dysregulated → regulated. They will do this with a lens of self-compassion that doesn’t trigger the fight/flight or shame/blame cycle.

Week 6: Powerful Emotions + Personal Power
Our final class will empower kids to integrate everything they’ve learned — so they leave feeling more confident, less ashamed, and better equipped to handle their emotions with practical, compassionate, powerful brain-body tools they can use in real-life

Emily Hamblin, M.A., is a certified teacher, life coach for neurodivergent families, and founder of Enlightening Motherhood, where she's helped thousands of families worldwide. She's worked with over a thousand students (ages 0 to 78) in settings like in-home preschools, public and charter schools, micro schools, and college classrooms.
But what makes her uniquely equipped to teach this class isn't just her degrees or experience. It's also her life! Emily is neurodivergent herself (diagnosed in adulthood) and is raising several neurodivergent kids. Her family has lived experience with ADHD, autism, anxiety and more. She's still in the thick of it, which means she truly gets it.
Emily has a rare gift for translating complex, science-backed concepts into simple, practical tools that kids can actually understand and use. She brings professional expertise, deep compassion, and lived experience to every child she teaches.
As demand continues to grow, Emily is personally mentoring additional highly qualified educators to bring this same compassionate, brain-based approach to more children and families. Every educator who teaches this program is trained directly by Emily to ensure the same heart-centered approach, combined with the same science-backed experience.
Zoom + Class Experience
Totally okay. This class is designed specifically for neurodivergent kids, including those who need to move, stim, fidget, lie upside down, or turn off their camera. Participation can look different for different kids, and that’s expected. There’s no pressure to “perform.”
Totally normal. Many kids are resistant to being forced to do things that aren’t their idea. Instead of forcing it on them, we highly recommend collaborating with them. When children (especially neurodivergent children!) feel ownership, connection, control, and autonomy, they’re much more likely to be on board.
Most kids warm up once they realize this is for them and not just another adult trying to fix them. You can attend with them if needed, they’re welcome to participate according to their comfort level, and all class recap videos are available to watch later.
Please reach out if your child is resistant and you need additional support for how to help them join us, without feeling like you need to resort to icky-feeling parent tactics.
No worries! We completely understand that life happens.
When you register, you’ll automatically get bonus access to interactive simulated live classes that follow the same curriculum and visuals as the live lessons. These give your child the chance to experience each topic in an engaging, flexible way, whether they miss a class, need a refresher, or simply want to review what they’ve learned.
Each week, Emily also creates a short recap video highlighting what we covered in class, so parents can easily follow along with what their child is learning, has learned, or will learn next.
In other words, you’ll never miss a thing, and your child can revisit the tools anytime they need them.
Yes! Once you choose a cohort, your child stays with that same group for all 6 weeks. This isn't just about scheduling convenience; it's also about creating real connection and safety. That sense of belonging? It helps the learning really stick.
Each class session is right around an hour. Sometimes kids like to hang out a few minutes after and chat, so on my end I plan 70 minutes as a buffer. Very rarely, the class ends a few minutes early.
Nope. There’s no formal homework. We’ll give optional practice and will gently encourage kids to try out what they’ve learned between classes…but nothing is required. The goal isn’t to force compliance. It’s to build internal motivation so your child wants to use these tools in real life. That’s the kind of “homework” that truly sticks.
We also share a brief update with parents after each session so you know what we covered, and you’re welcome (and even encouraged!) to watch the class recap videos, too.
Content + Approach
This isn’t just information. It’s connection! It’s a fully guided experience. A live, human space for interaction, reflection, support, and experience. And it’s one designed to stick.
Absolutely! This class teaches kids how their brain and body work together, how to understand and manage emotions, and how to build real-life regulation skills. It’s science, emotions, and life skills all in one. It’s research-backed (and real-life practical) education that empowers kids to understand themselves and succeed emotionally, socially, and academically.
This isn't a one-size-fits-all program. We take time to really get to know each child and adapt the experience to fit their unique needs. The structure is solid, but the delivery is flexible. It's a living, responsive class, not a rigid curriculum. We're skilled at reading the room (even on Zoom) and adjusting how we teach so every child feels included, understood, and supported in a way that actually works for them.
That’s fantastic! This class will reinforce what you’re already doing at home. Often, kids have a breakthrough when they hear something from a new voice or see peers learning the same things. It helps the concepts feel more normal, doable, and empowering.
Yes! This class complements other services beautifully. While therapy often focuses on emotional processing, this class teaches concrete skills your child can practice in real life- things many therapists don’t explicitly teach, especially in group form. (And if they don’t have any other support? This class is still a powerful starting point.)
The class is designed for kids ages 6-17, and the mixed-age format works beautifully. Our instructors make the content engaging for younger kids while keeping it relevant and meaningful for older ones. We occasionally allow 5-year-olds to attend after discussing with the parent and agreeing that they seem like a good fit. Please reach out and discuss your unique child with us if you have any questions!
Nope. This class is for any child who feels big emotions and could benefit from learning practical emotional regulation tools and understanding a neurodivergent brain, whether or not a child has a formal diagnosis.
Cost + Payment Options
Because this class will be very high-touch and high-quality, it’s priced similarly to group therapy (although legally, it’s not therapy. It’s educational 😉). The full 6-week series is $997 and includes live classes, lifetime access to class recap videos, presentations, a printable workbook, and lots of compassionate, practical support along the way. Each cohort is limited in size to allow a very personalized experience. Click HERE to save your child’s spot.
The group experience works fantastically, but if for whatever reason you want your child to have this class in a 1-to-1 format, you can register then HERE for $5,997 for the full 6-week series.
Yes. If paying full price for more than one child poses a financial strain, we’re happy to offer a discount. Simply enroll one child first at the regular price, then reply to your confirmation email and request the sibling discount code for your second child. Our team will send you a code for 30% off that next enrollment fee.
We won’t police you to see if siblings are or aren’t listening in 😉. However, only the enrolled child can be called on and participate directly during class. If you want each child to receive full participation and individual attention, each child needs their own enrollment (and you can request the sibling discount for the second child, if that’s helpful).
For sure! We just created a “Simulated Live” class that follows the same curriculum and works for any schedule! You can check out the details HERE.
YES! Emily Hamblin, Enlightening Motherhood LLC is an ESA-approved vendor in Arizona. You can choose to purchase through THIS link and seek reimbursement, or email emily@enlighteningmotherhood.com with your child’s name and age, and ask for an invoice to submit to ClassWallet.
We’ve got you! ESA stands for “Empowerment Scholarship Account” and some families use those funds to pay for classes like this. But you don’t need ESA to enroll. You can simply use your regular credit card or PayPal like any other online purchase.
Next Steps
If you’ve read this far and something in you is saying, “Yes, my child needs this,”. Trust that. This class was designed for families like yours: caring, committed, and looking for something that finally clicks. It works not because it’s a magic bullet, but because it’s brain-based, compassionate, and built for real kids, just like yours. It will help to increase and magnify your already present efforts to raise an emotionally healthy family.
Excellent choice! Enrolling is simple — just make your payment (either by credit card, PayPal, or through ESA/ClassWallet), then CLICK HERE TO SAVE YOUR CHILD’S SPOT, then fill out the enrollment form on the final confirmation page Once that’s done, we’ll send everything you need to get ready for class, including access to materials, class recap, and what to expect.
For children under 13, a short permission form is also required in order for your child to join our live Zoom sessions. We’ll send this to you after registration.
In Short: This Class Is For Your Child If...
Your child:
Has a uniquely wired brain
Struggles with big emotions
Needs tools that actually work for how they're wired
You:
Are tired of one-size-fits-all approaches
Want to empower, not control
Believe your child deserves better
Because, frankly, here's the truth: so many parenting tools, children's programs, and society's strategies are built with neurotypical wiring in mind. That's why they're not working for our kids.
But here's what I know for sure: It's not because you're failing as a parent. It's not because your child is failing. Nothing is wrong with them.
Your child just needs the right approach to understand themselves and powerful, brain-based tools that will truly change the game in how they see, understand, and respond to their own emotions, thoughts, and body.
Your child deserves to feel confident, capable, and empowered in their own beautifully wired brain.
This class will help them get there.
